upon your arrival at varanasi, pick up from airport & transfer to hotel, after lunch excursion to Sarnath (9 km) an important pilgrimage center for Buddhists. This is where the Buddha preached his first sermon after getting enlightenment. The city is famous for its magnificent stupas, monasteries and temples.

Early in the morning, we will go again to the Ganges River to observe (from the boat) the Hindu believers starting their day bathing in the river. For each Hindu, it is an essential activity symbolizing the greeting of the sun as it rises above the holy river of the Gods. Enjoy a boat ride this morning to see the contrasts of life on the river.
